What is UAV Magnetics Services?
UAV Magnetics Survey is a method of using a magnetic sensor mounted on a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) to collect data about the Earth’s magnetic field. This data can be used to create maps and other geospatial products that show the distribution and intensity of the magnetic field at different locations.
UAV magnetics is often used for geophysical exploration and mapping, particularly in the minerals and oil and gas industries. By measuring the magnetic field, it is possible to identify subsurface geological structures that may contain minerals or hydrocarbons. UAV magnetics can also be used for other applications such as archaeological surveys and mapping, and environmental monitoring. One of the main benefits of UAV magnetics is that it allows data to be collected quickly and efficiently over large areas. It is also relatively inexpensive compared to other geophysical exploration methods. However, the accuracy of UAV magnetics is generally lower than other methods such as ground-based magnetics or air-borne electromagnetics.
